Spacehab Subsidiary Praises STP-1 Program And Mission Success

Houston, Texas (March 12, 2007) - SPACEHAB, Incorporated (NASDAQ: SPAB), a leading provider of commercial space services, announced today that, along with its Astrotech Space Operations subsidiary, the Company applauds the launch and successful on-orbit deployment of the Space Test Program-1 (STP-1) six experimental payloads.

From its Titusville, Florida location, Astrotech played a key role in the processing of the satellites destined for this ground-breaking mission several months ago. In addition to facility accommodations and spacecraft transportation, the Company also performed the propellant loading for the visiting spacecraft.

SPACEHAB President and CEO, Thomas B. Pickens, III was on hand to view the liftoff from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.
