Astrotech Space Operations Honored with ULA Small Business Excellence Award

United Launch Alliance recently honored Astrotech Space Operations-Florida with a 2012 Small Business Excellence Award for support of the Atlas V and Delta IV launch vehicles.  ULA's Atlas and Delta vehicles support a wide range of missions including the Department of Defense Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle (EELV) Program and NASA science missions, and are poised to launch the next generation of astronauts to the International Space Station.
 

NASA Awards Task Order Contract to Astrotech Space Operations-California for SMAP Spacecraft Processing

NASA Awards Task Order Contract to Astrotech Space Operations-California for OCO-2 Spacecraft Processing

ASTROTECH CORPORATION, (NASDAQ: ASTC), a leading provider of commercial space services, today announced that its Astrotech Space Operations (ASO) subsidiary has been awarded a NASA task order contract to provide payload processing services for the Orbiting Carbon Observatory - 2 (OCO-2) satellite at ASO’s Vandenberg Air Force Base, California, facility.
 
OCO-2 is the first mission awarded by NASA under the current Not-to-Exceed $16 million Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) task order contract that runs through December, 2017.  The Jet Propulsion Lab satellite, scheduled to launch in July, 2014, will be NASA’s first dedicated Earth remote sensing satellite to study atmospheric carbon dioxide from space.
 

NASA Awards Not-to-Exceed $9.1 Million Task Order Contract to Astrotech Space Operations-Florida

ASTROTECH CORPORATION, (NASDAQ: ASTC), a leading provider of commercial space services, today announced that its Astrotech Space Operations (ASO) subsidiary has been awarded a NASA Not-to-Exceed $9.1 million Infinite-Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) task order contract for commercial payload processing services at ASO Florida.
 
Under the new contract, NASA may task ASO to provide payload processing facilities and services for NASA missions launching from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida. The contract ordering period runs through December, 2017.  Last month ASO was awarded a $16 million IDIQ contract for Western Range spacecraft processing at the Vandenberg Air Force Base facility in California.
